How to share your location on Instagram

In order to use it, you’ll also have to allow Instagram to track your location — which you can do via your iPhone’s Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > select Instagram.

Once granted, you’ll be able to share your location within Instragram’s DMs, either an individual or group chat. Here’s how:
  1. From a conversation, tap “+” at the bottom.
  2. Tap Location.
  3. Tap Share your location at the bottom.
  4. Archive/Delete Message thread (without ending live location)

At the time of writing, Instagram says that live location sharing is only available in “selected countries” right now. However, it doesn’t specify the select countries — and it’s not available in the US just yet.
